Do you remember when TV ended?

Do you remember when TV ended?  was held at M Contemporary Gallery in 2017. An exhibition of paintings and ceramics, exploring recurring images and themes from my personal and cultural history to find the tension between the idealised and sinister recollections of childhood. The symbolic imagery represented intentionally blur the line between the sacred and profane, symbols like 'the apple'  and 'the double' have held a prominent place in our cultural psyche for millennia. I am interested in the psychological power of such images, my own personal attachment to the symbols that  re-occur in my art practice and what they represent both in a personal sense, and a wider cultural dialogue.
